About the Exhibition
D Contemporary is happy to present George Irvine’s new solo show; a diverse showcase of photographs, prints and paintings varying from figurative art to landscapes while exploring abstraction.
Irvine’s new work is dipping in and out of abstraction, perceiving the forces of nature as a continuous source and catalyst for all works.
The artist says: ‘I enjoy looking at the everyday, the overlooked and trying to squeeze out the extraordinary and perhaps some meaning now and again! I continue to believe in colour as a powerful tool to cajole one into a variety of reactions both emotional and phycological. Most of my work is made with the idea that it can be lived with rather than about Art itself that is often reserved for either the museums or the warehouse storages’.
