D Contemporary, in partnership with the Kurdistan Regional Government United Kingdom Representation, is pleased to present the first major exhibition of paintings in London by emerging Kurdish artists from Zamwa Gallery. This exhibition gives an insight into the diversity and components of Kurdish history and culture. From 3 to 18 March, D Contemporary will display a collection of inspirational contemporary artists residing in the Kurdistan Region. Each of these artists convey their personal thoughts, feelings, and experience through a mixture of traditional and individual techniques. The abstract nature of these works tells the story of struggle and survival, change and continuity, diversity and injustice.
The participating artists are: Dlshad Bahaddin Abdullah, Awder Othman Baqi, Namiq Hama Faraj, Kosar Jalal Kaka and Arsalan Ahmed.
