About the Exhibition
D Contemporary is happy to present Harry Parker’s new solo show; an exhibition focused around memory and childhood.
In this exhibition of paintings and drawings, Harry Parker explores the private spaces of childhood imagination and story. Working predominantly in oils and mixed media, this work starts with observational drawing but incorporates a variety of source material, including found images and memory.
Harry was educated at Falmouth College of Art, University College London, and was a postgraduate at the Royal Drawing School. He is an artist and writer and lives in London. His novel Anatomy of a Soldier (Faber) was published in 2016. ‘The city under the chair and other stories’ is his first solo exhibition.
