About Acervo – Arte Contemporânea

Based in Lisbon, Portugal, Acervo – Contemporary Art is an art gallery and agency dedicated to identifying and promoting the best Portuguese emerging artists, as the “Future Ones”. It is our main goal to present an extraordinary generation of emerging Portuguese artists internationally, by developing projects like this double solo exhibition hereby presented, the exposure in international art fairs and the integration of our artists in international art residencies

Cristina Troufa

Cristina Troufa was born in Porto, Portugal in 1974. She holds a degree in Painting by the Fine Arts Faculty of the University of Porto (1998) and a Masters degree in Painting by the same institution. She has taken part in numerous solo and collective exhibitions in galleries and cultural venues in Portugal, France, Spain, Italy, Canada, Taiwan, England and the USA. In 2015 and 2016 she was a guest artist at the „Salerno Biennial of Contemporary Art“, Italy. In 2015 she was a jury member and guest artist of “PortugArt“, a competition organised by D-Contemporary that selected and showcased the finest emerging Portuguese artists.

Juan Domingues

Born in Puerto Cabello, Venezuela, in 1981. Lives and works in Cantanhede, Aveiro (Portuga) Graduated in painting by ARCA – EUAC (Coimbra , Portugal), his work has been presented in numerous exhibitions and competitions. From his professional career stand out two honourable mentions in the “Aveiro Young Creator Award” and the “D. Fernando II Award”, as well as references by the Artreview Magazine and by Showcase London. His work is represented, amongst numerous other private collections, in the Drawing Dreams Foundation Collection (Berkley , Califórnia).
