D-Contemporary is the company that creates and delivers art exhibitions at 23 Grafton Street for the Strategy International Group (SI). SI operates two well-established UK and international membership-based business networks comprising over 200 companies and institutions employing some 6 million.
The purpose of these exhibitions is to reflect and support the strong commitment of SI and many of its members and clients to the arts as a way of expressing their values and inspiring their stakeholders.
The D-Contemporary business model is simply to create outstanding exhibiting opportunities for artists whose work will appeal to SI’s many clients and members by providing an outstanding venue for hire in the heart of London’s most prestigious art district, Mayfair W1. It is not a commission-based gallery nor one seeking to contractually represent artists. Interested artists and galleries are invited to contact D Contemporary Gallery to discuss potential exhibitions.
The format is, typically a 10 day show, Monday to Saturday inclusive, with (alongside general viewing) a catered evening launch event and another private view evening during the week for SI members and clients only. The artists are encouraged to invite their own lists alongside the active participation of SI clients and what is a very broad SI eco-system of friends and supporters.
SI's large eco-system of clients and friends, which comprises a substantial list, have the opportunity to support and have access to outstanding emerging art
Amidst a shortage of similar W1 gallery opportunities, emerging artists gain access to an excellent Mayfair showcase for their work and lists of followers
W1's gallery space has been materially reduced by commercial development, D-C wants to ensure the W1 arts community remains an accessible market
